3D Animation WORKSHOP during July 1 – August 31

Froggy Heart Animation Studio is Moldova’s fastest growing animation company with long term projects related to high end 3D animation series based on "The Little Frog's Heart” series of books. Our young, talented, motivated and international team of experts and newcomers forms the basis of our successful animation project.

What is Animation?
Sometimes referred to as 3D CGI, 3D animation is a type of animation that uses computer generated images to create animated scenes. Compared to 2D animation, or traditional animation, 3D has much more depth, and it looks much more realistic.
An animated scene starts with one picture, which is referred to a frame. The next frame is a picture that is slightly advanced a few milliseconds in time. After hundreds or thousands of these frames are flashed on a screen in rapid succession, they give the illusion of a moving picture.

Who can participate?
If you have a special interest for Animation and want to start a career in the 3D animation industry, and are looking to get the appropriate knowledge, then this workshop is designed for you. Together, we will go through all learning process in order for you to become a real Animator.

The period of the Workshop
The workshop will be held during summer period as from July 1st, 2015 until August 31, 2015.
The workshop schedule will be 09.00-18.00 and will be held in English.

Requirements
We are looking for people who:
• are creative and artistic
• have drawing skills (and sculpting skills for stop frame animation using clay)
• have IT skills, basic knowledge of Maya will be an advantage
• are patient and able to concentrate for long periods
• pay attention to detail
• are observant and understand how people move and express emotions
• have good communication skills
• have good organizational skills
• are original and inventive
• work well as part of a team and are able to take direction from senior animators and directors
• are able to follow a brief and work on their own initiative
• take criticism well
• work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
