As an Android developer, you will work on multiple and various projects, in relation with Mobile banking application – one of the most advanced on the Belgian market of its kind.

You will contribute to delivery of robust application solutions, in line with the IT environment and Banking Group in general, by developing Android native applications and finding solutions for business requirements.



Main responsibilities:

- Understand the business requirements, functional analysis and change tasks

- Participate in application planning meetings

- Develop and maintain software programs according to agreed coding standards;

- Participate in functional analysis phase

- Create the Technical Analysis for the mobile application functionalities that will be developed from scratch or that are already existing and need changes

- Estimate duration of programming and unit testing phase;

- Keep the Technical Documentation up-to-date with new/changed technical design details during implementation;

- Follow the process that brings software from development environment to production environment;

- Perform Unit Testing, and register tests results after implementation to assure that every component of the application that was added or changed is working properly;

- Provide technical support, acting as 4th line support;

- Coach less experienced developers or new-comers

- Short traveling period abroad might be required, depending on project needs

- Provide feedback and propose improvements for user experience designs

- Contribute together with the rest of the team to continuous improvements of the development process



Main requirements:

- IT or engineering background;

- Programming languages (Android, Android SDK, Java, RESTful webservices, JSON, XML);

- Advanced English skills (in writing and verbally);

- Abstract thinking;

- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

- Attention to details and ability to organize work

- Communication skills (in writing and verbally);

- Customer orientation;

- Flexibility in proceedings;

- High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust

- Working experience according to Agile methodology

- Analysis and design capabilities as well as ability to monitor and judge appropriate performance
