Position Summary & Main Responsibilities:
Oracle Database Administrator within the Managed Services shared support delivery team, Database administration activities
Provide solutions for database problems including capacity, redundancy, replication, and performance initially for one key customer
Monitor system performance to ensure supported systems have sufficient resources to process production traffic.
Maintain database security and patches. Install databases and application packages.
Interaction with customer and internal technical management
Will require travel to the UK for an initial 6 week period then supporting systems remotely

Mandatory skills:
Proven Oracle database administration experience.
Experience with Oracle 10g/11g database technologies especially RAC, Data Guard, and advanced Replication.
Experience with PL/SQL development.
Knowledge of Oracle database architecture.
Experience in performance tuning.
Experience in supporting high-availability high transaction volume applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.

Desired skills:
Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX OS.
Experience in MSSQL 2000–2008 Server administration is desirable.
Experience in SAN devices will be an asset.
