Responsible To: Executive Director
Office/ Location: Chisinau, Moldova

A great opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to further their interests in the charity accounting. The person that will fill this position in HOSPICE Angelus Moldova has accounting experience in charity environment and is able to support and liaise with various departments within the charity such as fundraising. They will ensure that projects run within budget, analyse costs and ensure that any income received is invested and used to allow for the growth and success of the organisation. The way in which our organization finances are run, allows for its objectives to be met and for its good work to continue and reach as many people as possible.
HOSPICE Angelus is the leading provider of palliative care to children and adults in the final phases of cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Established in 2000, we have been providing hospice care to patients in Chisinau and beyond with a team of local medics and the support of our parent organisation, Hospices of Hope UK.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the strategic planning and financial management
• Financial accounting and local and international reporting, grants budgeting
• Management reporting, 2 year planning, budgeting/ forecasting, ad hoc analysis
• Financial systems, procedures & internal controls
• Payroll functions
• Taxation
• Risk management
• Legal compliance
• Other financial tasks as required by the Executive Director and Fundraising Director
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Two years of healthcare or not-for-profit experience, or equivalent position specific experience (e.g., grants, foundations, corporate accounting, treasury)
• English, Romanian & Russian
• Knowledge of accounting software 1C 7 and 8;
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
