As a result of our expanding workload we have opportunities for Project Managers/Construction Managers to join our growing team to work on a range of infrastructure and buildings projects supporting the wider JP Construction technical team in their project delivery. Our projects are technically complex and therefore the candidate will need to be proactive and dynamic in their approach. This is an opportunity for you as an experienced Project Manager/Construction Manager to develop your project management skills on a varied and challenging range of projects in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide End to End Project Management for local, regional or international projects, specific areas include (but not limited to): Project scope management and quality management
Be a focal point for communications and decisions for assigned project(s)
Management of multi-disciplinary projects from inception to close out
Business Development and Client Liaison
Budgetary and financial responsibility for projects
Preparation and management of specifications, schedules, estimates, progress reports, meeting agenda’s and minutes, and procurement issues
Plan, agree and manage the budget and in accordance with key performance indicators, supervise cost-cutting measures where necessary, in liaison with the line manager, and develop an awareness of costs among staff
Meets on-time and on-budget project goals and participates in the identification of and planning for future resource needs
Job Requirements:
A degree or equivalent certification in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science or related discipline
Minimum of two (2) years’ post graduate experience in building and construction
Self-motivated, proactive, takes action and gets involved
Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills
Goal-oriented and ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle pressure
Able to resolve conflicts or lack of engagement by use of influencing skills
Strong attention to detail for administration of project information
Professional attitude and approach to work
