Business and Finance consulting (BFC) is a consulting company focused on supporting financial institutions in developing countries and Eastern Europe. Till now mainly specialized in Agro and MSME finance, BFC recently decided to expends its scope of work adding a technology component to its services. This lead BFC to start a few small technology projects in parallel to its more traditional consulting activities.

In this context BFC is looking for Senior Developer to develop fast smart prototypes products to be piloted, tested, and adjusted following an agile development process. In addition, we expect this person to use his/her technology knowledge and experience to guide the tech strategy of BFC.

Main Responsibilities:

Develop smart prototypes for BFC prospective projects among which:
A reporting platform
A data gathering tool
Different web platform projects
Help setup project teams to lead product development of successful prototypes
Be the technical leader of BFC technology projects
Provide guidance in building and updating BFC technological development strategy
Bring new ideas on how to smartly use Technology to upgrade BFC services

Job Requirements:

Strong knowledge and experience in: PHP Development, relational databases, Javascript, jQuery framework, and version control systems (Git, Mercurial)
Capacity to build quality prototype in reduced time
Experience in technical management of complex technological projects
Experience in building and maintaining API for technology platform
Prior work on projects related to finance/banking is an advantage
Ability to coach and mentor junior developers, and excellent communication capacities
Fluency in English and Russian is a must

We are looking for a professional interested in long term relationship in a dynamic environment with great perspectives and a continuous flow of challenging and exciting projects.

This position will require onsite visits in the countries of operations of BFC for workshops and team meetings.
