Introduction
As front end web developer you will be fully engaged in web design. You live and breathe everything concerning web design and you keep yourself up to date on the latest trends and developments. You are expected to work with an independent and proactive attitude and to add your creativity and knowledge to your work.
This function is mainly to build and customize sites for one of our 1000 customers. The main activity is the slicing and building of web sites following web standards.
You will be working in a enthusiastic team, in which you are the one who knows everything about (x)HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Furthermore knowledge of usability and SEO is a requirement. You also have (some) knowledge of graphic design.
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of HTML5
- Good knowledge of JQuery
- Very strong CSS skills and knowledge of best practices, also in CSS3
- Passionate about all aspects of development.
- Good written and verbal English.
- Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and how to properly mitigate them.
- Debugging JavaScript with developer tools or custom tooling.
- Good knowledge of WordPress and best practices in developing custom themes.
- Good practical knowledge of making responsive websites.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using a CSS preprocessor, such as LESS or SASS.
- Using Susy while making responsive websites.
